You stopped gardening because you could not feel your hands well enough to trust them. You gave up walking the neighborhood in the evenings because your feet burn by the time you reach the end of the block. You lie awake at night while everyone else sleeps because the tingling never stops. You have explained this to doctors and been handed a prescription that takes the edge off but does not give you back your life.
That is what neuropathy actually costs. Not just the pain. The things you used to do without thinking.
At Orlando Alternative Health, Dr. Jon Kukor treats neuropathy differently. Using acupuncture and advanced dry needling together, he addresses both the nerve damage and the pain signals driving your symptoms. Patients who have been managing neuropathy for years regularly tell us this is the first treatment that has actually moved things in the right direction.

Neuropathy takes time to develop. Real recovery does too. Most patients say it is worth every visit.
Neuropathy does not just hurt. It quietly takes over. It changes what you can do, what you are willing to try, and how much energy you have left at the end of the day after compensating for the discomfort. The burning and tingling become background noise you can never fully tune out. The numbness makes ordinary things feel uncertain and unsafe.
Most patients come to us after years of being told their only option is medication management. Some have tried multiple medications. Some have been told the nerve damage is permanent. What they have rarely been offered is a treatment that directly addresses circulation to the affected tissue, calms the overactive pain signals, and works on the surrounding muscle and fascial dysfunction that makes everything worse.
That is exactly what we do here.
Dr. Jon Kukor is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) through Myopain Seminars, the gold standard in dry needling certification. He is the only provider in Winter Park with this specific combination of credentials.
For neuropathy patients, that combination matters more than almost any other condition we treat. He also sees every patient himself. You will not be handed off to an assistant or rotated through a protocol. Every visit is an assessment. Every treatment is adjusted based on what your body is doing that day.
Your first visit runs 60 to 75 minutes. Dr. Kukor will spend that time understanding your full picture, not just your diagnosis. How long has this been going on? What makes it better or worse? What has it taken from you? What do you want back?
By the time you leave, you will have a clear plan, a realistic timeline, and an honest assessment of what treatment can accomplish in your specific case. We do not overpromise. We also do not tell people to just live with it when there is a better option available.
Orlando Alternative Health serves patients throughout Winter Park, Orlando, Maitland, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, and surrounding Central Florida communities. Most new patients are seen within a few days.
Can acupuncture actually reverse neuropathy?
In some cases, yes, particularly when treatment begins before nerve damage has fully progressed. In more advanced cases, acupuncture may not fully reverse the damage, but it consistently reduces pain, improves sensation, and gives patients back quality of life that medications alone have not been able to restore.
How many treatments will I need?
This varies depending on how long you have had neuropathy, the type and severity of your case, and how your body responds. Dr. Kukor will give you a realistic plan at your first visit. Most patients commit to a multi-month course of care to get lasting results.
I have diabetic neuropathy. Can you help?
Yes. Diabetic neuropathy is one of the conditions we treat most frequently. Acupuncture has a strong evidence base specifically for diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and the combined approach Dr. Kukor uses has produced real improvements even in long-standing cases.
I finished chemotherapy and the neuropathy never went away. Is it too late?
No. Post-treatment CIPN is very much something we address here. The sooner you start, the better the outcomes tend to be, but patients with neuropathy that has persisted for years still see meaningful improvement.
Do you accept insurance for neuropathy treatment?
